چکیده
Background: Wild edible fruits are good source of phenolic compounds such as anthocyanins. Those known for their anti-inflammatory potential. They interact with many mediators the physiopathological pathway NF-kB which is at a central position in inflammatory response macrophages. This study aimed to determine and antioxidant potential ten wild aqueous extracts. Methods: The was evaluate through DPPH, ABTS OH radical scavenging activity; ferric reducing agent power total capacity assessment. Also, flavonoids, anthocyanins vitamin C content were assayed. For activity, primary macrophage culture used. Inflammatory nitric oxide (NO), alkaline phosphatase, NADPH oxidase 5-lipoxigenase activity Results: Alchornea cordifolia Pentaclethra macrophylla extracts showed greatest respectively (Antiradical (AP)=5.82 mol DPPH/mg extract AP=5.05 DPPH assay); (IC50=1.62µg/ml IC50=1.60µg/ml (IC50=32.67µg/ml IC50=70.01µg/ml assay) (EC50=54.06µg/ml EC50=17.46µg/ml power) non-significant difference reference compound. firstly it has been observed that cordifolia’s exhibits against inhibition (IC50=36.20µg/ml); phosphatase activation (EC50=0.27µg/ml) Secondly, macrophylla’s demonstrated high ability inhibit NO production (IC50=5.79µg/ml) (IC50=1.41µg/ml). Conclusion: From results obtained assessed fruit appears be sources bioactive molecules. could beneficial research new modulators management disorders.

Screening of Different Extracts from Artemisia Species for Their Potential Antimalarial Activity
The formation of hemozoin (malaria pigment) has been proposed as an ideal drug target for antimalarial screening programs. In this study, we used an improved, cost-effective and high-throughput spectrophotometric assay to screen plant extracts for finding novel antimalarial plant sources. Fifteen extracts with different polarity from three Iranian Artemisia species, A. ciniformis, A. biennis an...

متن کاملAntioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Activities of Kenyan Leafy Green Vegetables, Wild Fruits, and Medicinal Plants with Potential Relevance for Kwashiorkor
Background. Inflammation, together with related oxidative stress, is linked with the etiology of kwashiorkor, a form of severe acute malnutrition in children. A diet rich in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant phytochemicals may offer potential for the prevention and treatment of kwashiorkor. We selected and assayed five leafy green vegetables, two wild fruits, and six medicinal plants from Kenya...
متن کاملAnti-inflammatory Activity and Antioxidant Potential of Aqueous Extracts from Stem Bark of Geoffroea decorticans
In the present work we investigated, for the first time, the anti-inflammatory activity and the antioxidant properties of aqueous and ethanolic extracts, obtained from stem bark of Geoffroea decorticans (Gill. ex Hook. et Arn.) Burk. (Fabaceae). G. decorticans, commonly known as “chañar” or “chañarcillo”, is a traditional argentinean plant used as emollient, balsamic, antitussive, expectorant a...

Herbal medicines are playing a vital role in the remedy of numerous diseases. Preliminary phytochemical screening of the methanolic extracts of seeds (MNLS) and peel (MNLP) of Nephelium longan revealed the presence of alkaloids, tannins and flavonoids. For antidairrheal screening, we have followed Castor-oil-induced method whereas to check anti-inflammatory property, we used carrageenan-iduced ...
